Former Reading players Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter have both been sacked as managers of Leicester City and Chelsea respectively.
Northern Irishman Rodgers came through the youth system at Reading but was forced to retire at 20 due to an injury.
Coaching and heading up the academy in Berkshire, the 50-year-old famously had an ill-fated spell as manager in 2009 which lasted six months.
However, he has since gone on to be a highly-respected manager with the likes of Swansea City, Liverpool and Celtic.
Finishing fifth with the Foxes twice, and lifting the club's first ever FA Cup in 2021, they are currently relegation-threatened and Rodgers was removed after over two years in charge.
Potter, meanwhile, lasted just seven months into a five-year contract with the two-time Champions League winners.
Making his name in Sweden with Ostersund, success with Swansea and Brighton gave him the opportunity at Stamford Bridge.
However, defeat against Aston Villa signalled the end of the line for the former Royal loanee.
Both clubs languish in the bottom half, far below expectation.
