Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
The man behind Burnley's rampage in the Championship, becoming the first club to be promoted with six matches remaining and now hunting Reading's 106-point record, Kompany has been in charge at Turf Moor for less than a year.
Visiting the SCL Stadium on Saturday, the former Manchester City captain will be a Premier League manager next season regardless.
According to the Sun: "Vincent Kompany is now Tottenham’s No 1 target to replace Antonio Conte.
"Chairman Daniel Levy has been blown away by the Belgian, 37, leading Burnley back into the Premier League in his first season."
Noe Hunt's first game as interim manager will be against Kompany's runaway leaders on Saturday, with a bumper crowd expected as the Royals look to pull themselves away from relegation danger.
Inside the relegation zone by two points, five matches remain for the Irishman.
