Reading forward Femi Azeez has hit out at the media after it had been reported that he, and his father, had confronted Wigan Athletic boss Shaun Maloney after Saturday's 1-1 draw.
Azeez had spoken in the build-up about the disappointment in the lack of game time his brother Miguel was receiving at the DW Stadium.
It had been reported that Azeez and his father confronted former Scotland midfielder Maloney after the game, something Azeez refutes.
Taking to social media this morning, Azeez said: "I've seen the reports circulating this morning regarding my Dad allegedly confronting Shaun Maloney after the game on Saturday.
"I wanted to put the record straight. I categorically can state that my dad did *not* confront the Wigan manager. My dad was in the stands during and after the game.
"Regarding myself, I shook hands and had a brief conversation with Mr Maloney after the match and that was it.
"If a sports media outlet or journalist are going to report news, please make sure it's accurate and not fabricated."
