Reading legend Brian McDermott has admitted that he is 'delighted' to have made to move to Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.
The former Royals boss, who took the club to the Championship title in 2012, has been out of the game since his Arsenal exit in 2020.
Moving north of the border, the 62-year-old has been unveiled as the Director of Football at Easter Road.
Working with Hibs boss- and former Bristol City manager- Lee Johnson, his roles will include scouting, analysis, sports science, and medicine.

Speaking to the club after his appointment, McDermott commented: "I’m delighted to join such a great, community-orientated club like Hibernian FC.
“I scouted Hibs games many times in the past and have always been taken by the fantastic atmosphere at Easter Road.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity. Having met the Chairman, the Board of Directors, Executives, Lee Johnson, all the staff, and understanding more around the culture of the Football Club and the objectives, I’m really excited about the challenge.”
