Reading fans have been wishing former manager Brian McDermott well as he confirms his new role as Director of Football at Scottish club Hibernian.
The 62-year-old spent over a decade at the club and guided the side to the Championship title in 2012.

Regularly interacting with Royals fans, and welcomed back to the SCL Stadium last season for a legends match to celebrate the club's 150th anniversary, supporters hold him in high esteem.

His scouting knowledge is brilliant, just what we would have needed to rebuild. He knows the Scandinavian and Dutch leagues where you can pick up good players cheaply. We should look at these leagues
