Former Reading captain Chris Gunter has announced that he is retiring from football at the end of the season in order to focus on his coaching career.
The 33-year-old joined Reading in 2012 and spent almost a decade as first-choice right-back, playing 314 times.
A regular under seven managers in his time with the Royals, he featured in the Premier League as well as an FA Cup semi-final and play-off final.
Making over 700 league appearances in total, for the likes of Nottingham Forest and Charlton Athletic, he has spent the season with AFC Wimbledon.

At one time Wales' all-time cap holder, he retired after the European Championships with 109 appearances.
Recently joining the coaching set-up with Rob Page, his statement explains that "having completed my coaching badges, I will begin my new role from the summer. It's an exciting opportunity to work alongside Rob, and the staff."
Gunter thanked the fans, supporters and managers for the club's he played for on social media.
