Former Reading striker Sam Smith is now a free agent after confirming his exit from League One rivals Cambridge United.
The U's top scorer, The Mancunian has had a prolific season in the third tier- hitting 14 this season and over 20 last year.

Attracting interest from the likes of Portsmouth, Preston and Wycombe Wanderers, the 25-year-old will not be short of suitors ahead of next season.
Releasing a statement after his exit from the Abbey Stadium, Smith said: "The past two years it has been a real honour and a privilege to be a part of and play for this football club. I've enjoyed every moment and formed some amazing relationships along the way."

Smith scored twice in 11 appearances for Reading in 2017/18, and has been a name regularly discussed in cirlces of Royals supporters over a potential return ahead of next year's campaign in League One.
