Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has been selected for Italy's Under-20 World Cup squad this summer.
Hosted in Argentina in May and June, he will join former Royal Imari Samuel in South America- who is part of England's squad.
Casadei spent the second half of last season on loan in Berkshire from Stamford Bridge.
Taking some time to settle, the 20-year-old showed promise as the season progressed and scored a stunning goal against Blackburn Rovers.
Ending the year with 15 club appearances, the former Juventus youngster will be looking for more club minutes next season.
Joining Chelsea last summer, it reportedly cost the club £15m.
He is the only British-based player in the Italian squad, with Inter Milan and Juventus providing four between them.
The Italians, four time World Cup winners, have never reached a final of the Under-20s version.
England won it in 2017, and Italy finished third out in South Korea.
A 3-1 win for the Young Lions knocked out Italy in the semi-final stage.
