Reading have announced two pre-season friendlies for July 2023 in preparation for their League One return.
Still yet to appoint a manager, although one is expected before the end of the month, the club have announced their release and retain list.
Returning to league action in August, a first third tier campaign since 2002, the Royals will return to training over the summer.
Yet to reveal a full schedule, friendlies with Bristol City and Sutton United have been confirmed.
On Wednesday, July 12, Reading will travel to Bristol for a behind-closed-doors match with Nigel Pearson's Robins.
Finishing 14th in the Championship last season, they were unable to beat Paul Ince's Royals across two matches.
Kicking off at 12.30pm, it is expected to be covered on the Bristol City website.
Just three days later, supporters are welcome to attend a clash with League Two Sutton- a first meeting between the two sides for almost a decade.
Kick-off at Gander Green Lane is 3pm on Saturday, July 15.
There will be two familiar faces, as Director of Football for Sutton is former Royals boss Terry Bullivant, while Reading keeper Dean Bouzanis played over 100 times for the Yellows.
