Middlesbrough have released Reading loanee Joe Lumley.
The goalkeeper spent last season as number one in Berkshire, playing almost 50 times for the club and keeping seven Championship clean sheets.
Prone to an error, the 28-year-old proved a popular figure with the fanbase for his time management antics and likeability.
Dropped only when ineligible against the Teessiders, he was voted Players' Player of the Year at the end of season awards ceremony.
Luke Southwood was also released, leaving the Royals with Dean Bouzanis, Coniah Boyce-Clarke and Jokull Andresson for League One.
Michael Carrick's Boro lost to Coventry City in the Championship play-off semi-finals, and released Luke Daniels, Darnell Fisher and Grant Hall.
Fisher, who had prominent Championship spells with Preston North End and Rotherham United, was born in Reading but rose through the ranks at Scottish giants Celtic.
