Watford have released former Reading midfielder Leandro Bacuna.
The 31-year-old joined the Hornets in January after half a season without a club, and featured in both fixtures between the clubs in Berkshire.
Formerly of Aston Villa and Cardiff City, the Curacao international played 66 times for Reading before moving to Wales for a reported £3m in 2019.
He featured 15 times this season under Slaven Bilic and Chris Wilder, but has been let go from Vicarage Road after a disappointing 11th-placed finish in the Championship.
Discussions are on-going with Craig Cathcart, Tom Cleverley and Dan Gosling.
Britt Assombalonga will be joining Bacuna in heading out of the door.
Technical Director Ben Manga said: “We must continue to assess what is best to support our Head Coach Valérien [Ismaël] so it is important that we do not close off any options right now, while it is still early in the summer.”
