Former Reading favourite Yakou Meite has signed a two-year deal with Championship side Cardiff City following his exit.
The 27-year-old played over 150 times for the Royals since his 2016 arrival, becoming popular with supporters for his attitude and knack for scoring important goals.
Suffering with long-term injuries over the last two seasons, the Ivorian enjoyed three successive campaigns scoring 10+ goals from 2018/19 until 2020/21.
“I’m delighted to be here," he told the official club website. "It wasn’t a difficult decision to join Cardiff City once they came in for me. I’ve had many conversations with the manager, and I very much liked what I heard from him and the project he wanted to achieve at this Club.
“I’ve always liked playing here at the Stadium and cannot wait to do so for Cardiff City.”
He joins former Reading teammate Andy Rinomhota in the Welsh capital, who made the same move last summer.
