Experienced goalkeeper David Button is to make his Reading debut this afternoon at Port Vale.
He is one of nine changes Ruben Selles makes from the team that beat Millwall 4-0 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Only signing on Wednesday after his release from West Brom, the 34-year-old becomes the third different keeper used by the Royals in their first three matches.
Reverting to a side more like the one that lost to Peterborough United on the opening day, the likes of Andy Yiadom and Andy Carroll return.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan and Charlie Savage keep their places from the start, while impressive performerย Nelson Abbey drops out altogether.
