Reading have enquired over the availability of former favourite Andy Rinomhota, according to national reports.
The 26-year-old played over 150 times for the club from 2018 until 2022- winning Player of the Season in 2019.
Struggling with injuries in recent years, the midfielder left Berkshire to join Cardiff City on a free transfer last summer.
He has since played over 40 times for the Bluebirds, but has struggled to nail down a starting spot in Wales.
Believe Reading asked Cardiff about availability of Rubin Colwill AND former midfielder Andy Rinomhota last week. No to Colwill but Rinomhota could yet leave on loan if given green light. Likely to be strong interest if made available #readingfc #CardiffCity #CCFC

According to Darren Witcoop, of the Sunday Mirror, the Royals have asked about the possibility of taking Rubin Colwill and Rinomhota on loan.
Shot down regarding Wales international Colwill, the report claims that Rinomhota is a possibility before the window closes on Friday.
Reading have four remaining loan spots in the squad, while free transfer moves can be completed at any time and are not limited to the transfer window.
The club have already added heavily in midfield, with the likes of Charlie Savage, Lewis Wing and Ben Elliott arriving this summer.
