Former Reading midfielder Jeff Hendrick has been linked with a Championship move on loan to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 31-year-old has been at Newcastle United since 2020 but has played under 30 times and has had two loan spells in the Championship.
Failing to impress at Queens Park Rangers in 2022, the Royals took Hendrick on loan last season.
The Republic of Ireland international missed just one league game throughout the entire season as Paul Ince's men were relegated to League One.

Despite featuring regularly and scoring four times, the former Derby County favourite was not overly popular among large swathes of the fanbase.
Still under contract at St James' Park until next summer, Hendrick is reportedly on his way back to the second tier.
The Owls have not won a match since their return to the Championship.
