Only five English teams have scored nine goals in a competitive game since 2013- and now Ruben Selles' team are one of them.
Treble winners Manchester City beat Burton Albion 9-0 in the EFL Cup back in 2019; Leicester City and Manchester United both hit Southampton for nine in successive Premier League campaigns; while Liverpool did the same to Bournemouth last year.
Making another piece of history, Reading are now the record holder for the best result in the EFL Trophy, with nobody having won by such a large margin since it's inception in 1984.
Swindon Town and Arsenal Under-21 stand in their way of progress to the knockout phase on the competition, Reading's first involvement since entering a youth side in 2018.
