Reading Rockets enjoyed victory and endured defeat in their clashes against both Barking Abbey and Brighton Bears in a big double-header.
Rockets would start their weekend on the road, travelling to Brighton Bears in what would end up being a comfortable 32-90 victory.
Though without star player Reis Pinnock and new American Taylan Rowe who is out due to personal reasons, the Rockets would find themselves comfortable throughout the game.
Top scorers for Rockets were Elijah Maynard with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Mitch Clarke with 18 points and seven assists and Isaac Round with 17 points.
16 year-old Harry Millbank hit a season-high 14 pts.
However, they would fall to an 82 - 86 defeat against a talented young Barking Abbey squad in their final KitKing Trophy group stage game.
Zack Powell top scored with a fine display of 26 points and seven rebounds, with Finleigh Porter hitting 13 points as both MClarke and Maynard hit 10 apiece.
Rockets would still progress, however, thanks to big wins over Worthing Thunder and Brighton Bears.
This now takes the Rockets into the quarter-finals, where they will welcome a remade Essex Rebels squad to Loddon Valley on Sunday, October 1 at 4pm.
