A team comprised of Reading legends beat a team of EFL stars 6-2 in a charity match at Farnborough FC.

Organised by So Solid Crew's Harvey, all money raised went to Dom's Food Mission to help feed the community.

The likes of Jay Bothroyd, Marvin Sordell and Greg Halford lined up against a team of Royals heroes and came out second best.

Leroy Lita grabbed himself a hattrick, and the Man of the Match award, while Noel Hunt, Andy Griffin and Dean Morgan also scored in the rout.

10 of the starting 11 for Reading were part of Championship winning sides, and even iconic striker Dave Kitson took part.

The fan favourite from 2003 until 2008 decided not to take part in the 150th anniversary match organised by the club in 2022 because he 'feels very uncomfortable endorsing what Reading Football Club stands for today.'

Slough Town player-manager, and Royals Academy graduate, Scott Davies played, as did former youth player Aaron Brown.

Hayden Mullins, Jamie Mackie, Simon Cox and Jobi McAnuff were advertised as featuring, but neither were there on the day.
