Reading are enduring a defensive crisis heading to Leyton Orient on Saturday, with Ruben Selles set to be without three key players.
Tom McIntyre, who missed Tuesday's defeat at Northampton Town, is to miss the trip to Brisbane Road due to concussion protocols.
He was taken off before half-time in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Burton Albion with a suspected concussion.
"He is probably not going to be selectable for the game on the weekend because of the concussion protocol," Selles said at Sixfields.
Andy Yiadom and Clinton Mola are both also unavailable after picking up red cards in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat.
The club captain did not even feature on the pitch but was shown a straight red card for his outburst at the fourth official.
Mola made a 12-minute cameo but was booked twice. However, there was some confusion as the referee had failed to note down his first yellow card and so the left-back remained on the field despite seeing yellow twice.
Amadou Mbengue is already out for six weeks with a knee injury, leaving Matt Carson and Kelvin Abrefa as the obvious full-back options.
Centre-back Tyler Bindon has played at right-back for the last two matches, while outcast Nesta Guinness-Walker will hope for a return to the first-team fold after playing for the Under-21 side.
Sam Smith and Mamadi Camara remain out but will hope to feature when the league returns after an international break next week.
