Reading cruised into the knockout stages of the EFL Trophy, with a game to spare, after demolishing rivals Swindon Town 5-0.

Take a look at the ratings below.

David Button, 6: Always tough to judge, a deckchair could have been put in goal and would have kept a clean sheet with Swindon offering very little offensively.

Andy Yiadom, 6: Very bright going forward and never truly challenged defensively. Easy day at the office for the skipper.

Clinton Mola, 6: In a more central position than he has featured since arriving, the youngster swept up well and looked to get the ball forward sharply.

Tom Holmes, 6: Loved to push forward and overlap his wing-backs, the Academy graduate limped off late on but put out a good account of himself.

Nesta Guinness-Walker, 7: Incredibly dangerous going forward and tested the Swindon back line constantly. Picked up a good assist and could have had more.

Michael Craig, 7: Stand-out performance from the youngster, who did not put a foot wrong all night. Breaking up play expertly and hardly ever giving the ball away, Craig has to be in the conversation for a League One debut soon.

Tivonge Rushesha, 7: Quietly went about his business aside Craig but was incredibly effective in the midfield. Probably his best performance in a Royals shirt.

Harvey Knibbs, 7: Showed his EFL experience against a young Robins side, and took his hat trick with aplomb. Needs to bring this into his league form.

Paul Mukairu, 6: A frustrating evening for the loanee who was busy and saw lots of the ball but his decision-making was off. Was in the right place at the right time to grab a third goal in the competition.

Jayden Wareham, 7: Did everything but score. A constant menace to the Swindon defenders, the former Chelsea youngster was involved in everything. Goals will come if he continues to perform like that.

Caylan Vickers, 8: Best player on the pitch, the teenager was too hot for anyone to handle. Denied his goal by the woodwork, his all-round performance caught the eye of everyone in the ground. A big future ahead for the league regular.

Substitutions

Femi Azeez, 6: A bright cameo from the winger but the job was done before he entered the field. Good to keep the legs ticking over.

Harlee Dean, 7: Never troubled and took his goal well. Should have had a brace but powered a second header right at the keeper.
