Reading fans and players were without a match over the weekend with the side missing key players during the international break.

However, not everyone connected with the club enjoyed a weekend off.

Five players are out on loan in the British Isles until January, enduring mixed spells up to date as under a month-and-a-half remains of their contracts.

Take a look below at a loan roundup.

Louie Holzman

A defender with a deep history with Reading- having grandfathers, uncles and a father spend time on the books of the Royals- the 19-year-old went on loan to Irish side Bohemian after making two appearances for Reading.

Unfortunately, it has been a tough move for the central defender, playing just twice in all competitions to date.

He has been on the bench for eight out of nine Premier Division matches but is yet to get on the pitch.

Reading Chronicle:

Jay Senga

A teenage midfielder who caught the eye in brief cameos last season, the 19-year-old played 66 minutes against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup in August.

Joining Scottish Championship side Ayr United until January, the Belgium youth international has been a regular at Somerset Park.

Making four appearances, winning two and losing two, Senga is yet to play a full 90 minutes.

Reading Chronicle:

Dean Bouzanis

Reading's starting keeper for the curtain-raiser against Peterborough United, the Australian linked up with former club Sutton United in August.

Recently making his 100th appearance for the club, the 32-year-old has played the last six consecutive League Two matches.

Sitting bottom of the whole Football League, Bouzanis conceded four on Saturday in a 4-1 defeat to Doncaster Rovers.

Jokull Andresson

A popular figure at all the clubs he has been at, 22-year-old Andresson is on loan at Carlisle United in League One.

Keeping one clean sheet in six third-tier appearances to date, the Icelander is yet to return to the starting side since picking up a red card against Wycombe Wanderers last month.

Matt Rowley

The youngster is learning his trade out at local non-league outfit Beaconsfield Town, and earning plenty of plaudits at Holloways Park.

The 20-year-old played the full match in Saturday's 2-1 win over Didcot Town in Southern League Premier Division South.
