Leicester City legend Frank Sinclair believes the Foxes are 'capable' of breaking Reading's 106-point record-breaking haul from 2005/06.
The 2016 Premier League winners currently top the Championship table with 13 wins from 16, but have already lost more matches than Steve Coppell's side did in the whole of the 2005/06 campaign.
Speaking to Stocklytics, the former Leicester City and Chelsea forward said: “Yeah, they’re capable of doing it. It would be brilliant if they did because it would give them so much confidence going back into the Premier League.
“They’ve had a little blip across the last couple of games and the sooner they can get back to winning ways the better. But I feel that they will come close.”
Newly-promoted Ipswich Town are currently tied on points with Leicester, having finished second in League One last season.
This is among the best starts to a second tier season any club has made.
