Reading have been drawn against League One rivals Charlton Athletic in the first knockout stage of the EFL Trophy.
Coming through their group as leaders with three wins from three, nobody has scored more goals than the Royals in the competition.
Of the three potential options, the Addicks are the only fellow third-tier outfit they could have drawn.
Michael Appleton's side beat the Royals 4-0 in the league meeting earlier in the season, with more than 2,800 travelling to the Valley.
Ties are due to take place in the midweek between the Eastleigh FA Cup tie and hosting Barnsley (Tuesday or Wednesday 12 or 13 December).
