Reading’s League One relegation rivals Burton Albion have sacked manager Dino Maamria after a run of four straight defeats.

The Brewers fell to a 2-1 defeat to Stevenage on Saturday and fell to 19th in the division, four points clear of the drop zone.

Taking over from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in September 2022, the Tunisian kept the side in the league last season, despite a start of just one win in 10 matches.

Winning just five of their first 20 matches so far this season, the East Midlands outfit drew 0-0 with Reading in September.

Four of the bottom seven sides have changed managers in League One: leaving only the Royals, Carlisle United and Exeter City with their bosses from the start of the campaign.
