Reading are ranked fifth for away followings so far this season, despite the team only winning once in over a year.
After 378 days, the Royals picked up their first away win of 2023 in November, beating Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 in front of almost 2,000 travelling fans.
From Middlesbrough to Eastleigh; Sunderland to Swansea- Royals fans have been the length and breadth of the country in 2023- averaging 1000 per match.
This season alone, the first campaign in the third tier since 2002, Reading have averaged 1,278 per away match.
Increasing by almost 400 on last season, a ninth consecutive season in the Championship, only four teams have averaged more in League One this season.
Oxford United and Portsmouth remain the closest away days left for Reading fans this season, while mammoth trips to Carlisle United, Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers are still to come.
Take a look below at the average away followings in the division, and where they compare to Reading, according to The72.
