Derby County boss Paul Warne has publicly denied talk of approaching a Reading player- Charlie Savage- despite his father saying otherwise.
20-year-old Savage has made 28 appearances for the Royals since signing a four-year contract in the summer, 14 of which have been starts.
Not starting since November, it is widely reported that the Wales international has a clause in his contract whereby his pay is increased upon starting 15 matches.
Famous father Robbie Savage, a former club captain at Pride Park, has said on his BBC 5 Live show that the Rams and League Two leaders Stockport County were both keen on the midfielder, but Reading turned down approaches from both.

However, Warne has since come out publicly and rebuffed these claims.
"I am not talking about another player at another club. I will not do that, and I’ve never done that," he said on BBC Radio Derby last night. "There are players I’ve been linked to, I got linked with a Reading player- completely not true."
Savage started for the Under-21s last night, getting an assist in a 2-1 win over Leicester City at Bearwood Park in PL2.
