Reading's Under-18s have been given the toughest test possible in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup, drawn away to three-time winners Manchester City.

Last lifting the famous old trophy in 2020, the Citizens knocked out last season's winners,  West Ham United, with a 2-0 win in the capital.

Mikele Leigertwood's teenagers, who had to navigate Forest Green Rovers and Rotherham United before the top teams entered the competitions, comfortably dispatched Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 in the last round.

Kiyan Coke-Miles-Smith netted a hattrick at Hillsborough, while Taylan Harris added gloss to the result in stoppage time.

A date has not been agreed, but it must take place before February 20 and will be played at the Joie Stadium.

Everton knocked Reading out last season, while the club's best finish remains a semi-final appearance back in 2014.
