Reading goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis has had his loan deal with Sutton United extended until the end of the season.
The Australian played the opening League One match of the season, a 1-0 defeat to Peterborough United, but that remains his only piece of action for the Royals since a 5-0 defeat at Middlesbrough in March 2023.
The 33-year-old has played 21 times for the U's this season, having become a fan favourite during his first spell between 2020 and 2022.
Steve Morison's side sit second from bottom in League Two with the worst defensive record in the fourth tier.
Bouzanis still has over a year to run on his contract but it looks likely that he has played his last match for the club.
David Button; Joel Pereira and Coniah Boyce-Clarke remain the goalkeeping union in Berkshire, with Jokull Andresson enduring an injury-hit loan spell with Carlisle United.
