Reading could face former Academy star Imari Samuels in a League One relegation battle after the defender joined bottom club Fleetwood Town.
20-year-old Samuels rose through the ranks with the Royals and stayed until 2022, but failed to make a first-team appearance.
The England youth star linked up with Brighton and Hove Albion. Again, he is yet to make his debut but he did appear on a Premier League bench last May.
Out to get his first taste of first-team football, Charlie Adam took him to Fleetwood on loan until the end of the season.
Reading travel to Highbury Stadium for a first-ever time later this month and could face Samuels two years after his exit.

Fellow former Royals Academy graduate, Andy Rinomhota, was also on the move on deadline day as he joined Rotherham United on loan.
2019 Player of the Season, the combative midfielder played over 100 times for Reading before joining Cardiff City.
His move to the Welsh capital has not gone as planned, making less than 50 appearances and now on loan with the second tier's bottom club.
