Reading conceded in the final minute of stoppage time to draw 1-1 at fellow strugglers Fleetwood Town.
Here are the ratings.
David Button, 6: Relatively quiet day at the office for the goalkeeper, who only had one or two saves to make despite some good positions from Fleetwood. Could do little about the late equaliser, with the scorer offside and the defence all at sea.
Clinton Mola, 6: Struggled to contain Promise Omochere all evening but looked more composed once the forward was replaced. Did okay despite being out of position.
Amadou Mbengue, 6: Wasteful in possession but looked solid defensively. Demanded more from his teammates and has stepped up his leadership despite being young himself.
Tyler Bindon, 6: Dominated aerially and individually had a good performance despite the late equaliser
Jeriel Dorsett, n/a
Lewis Wing, 7: Tried to get the ball down and play, but was always looking to pinch possession when chasing the ball. Took his goal very well, one of the few pieces of pure quality in the match.
Charlie Savage, 6: Ran himself into the ground and covered every blade of grass. His tenacity complimented his midfield partner Wing.
Harvey Knibbs, 6: One of his quieter matches, the top scorer had little of the ball in the dangerous areas. Still ran himself ragged and did everything he could off the ball.
Femi Azeez, 6: Had his opposite number on toast and was beating his man at will. Should have got a goal himself, but picked up an assist for his troubles.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 5: Frustrating to watch as the forward had impressed in recent weeks. Offered less as the centre-forward than he has from out wide. Had two big chances to score but failed to convert.
Paul Mukairu, 4: Disappointing from the loanee, who attempted too much and failed to deliver. Was hooked off after stealing the ball off Ehibhatiomhan to score despite coming from an offside position. Can't knock his attitude for constantly wanting the ball, but decision-making was not where it needed to be on the night.
Substitutes
Kelvin Abrefa, 6: A big night for the youngster, replacing Dorsett early on and having to adapt into the game quickly. Had a very solid second half.
Ben Elliott, 6: Looked exciting going forwards but not always switched on going the other way.
