Fleetwood Town manager Charlie Adam felt his side 'dominated' last night's 1-1 draw with Reading at Highbury.
A scrappy affair low on quality, particularly in the first half, the Royals took the lead with 15 minutes remaining through Lewis Wing's curling effort from distance.
Just as it looked like the visitors would hold on for a valuable win against relegation rivals, Cod Army skipper Brendan Wiredu bundled home an equaliser with the last kick of the game to share the spoils.
The match was not without controversy, with the hosts feeling they should have been awarded a goal for Promise Omochere's second-half header, but the officials deemed it not to have crossed the line.
However, there were very strong appeals for offside in their eventual equaliser from the Reading camp.
Speaking to media after the game, the former Royals midfielder said: "Thorough deserved. On the best chances of the game, I thought we deserved to win the match. We feel that the goal was over the line, but we don’t let our heads drop. We conceded the goal, but we battled on and we thoroughly deserved the 95th-minute equaliser.
"I thought we dominated the game and had the best chances."
Adam made sure to applaud the travelling 504 Reading fans, supporters who used to chant his name during a season-long stint at the club from 2019 until 2020.
