A Reading Football Club fan has praised Great Western Railway's "banter" on his journey down to the Portsmouth v Reading match.
On his way down to the football match at Fratton Park, Jack [@thesimpsonRFC] wrote: "Terrific banter on the Great Western Railway train from Southampton Central to Fratton."
He added that during the journey the train manager said: "If you see anything suspicious including throwing tennis balls on the pitch please inform the British Transport Police."
The comment relates to the Sell Before We Dai campaign which saw football fans throwing tennis balls onto the pitch, including at the Reading v Portsmouth game in October 2023.
Sell Before We Dai is a protest group which took off last summer after the football club faced challenges regarding its ownership and overdue fees.
Today (February 17), Reading faced off against Portsmouth in an away game that kicked off at 3pm and saw Portsmouth win 4-1.
