Reading boss Ruben Selles has warned supporters that defender Tom Holmes and Jeriel Dorsett are unlikely to be involved against bottom side Carlisle United on Saturday.
Both Academy graduates, Holmes is only on loan with his boyhood club until the end of the season following his January switch to Premier League Luton Town.
Dorsett, in his breakthrough season at full-back, suffered a heavy blow in the 1-1 draw against Fleetwood Town earlier in the month, while Holmes has not featured in over a month after injuring his back against Leyton Orient.
Speaking ahead of the long trip to Cumbria, Selles has confirmed that neither are expected to feature against the Blues.
"We expect him [Dorsett], if not this weekend, to be involved next weekend. He [Holmes] is going a bit slow, so we are not sure, but at least a couple more weeks for him."
An unchanged backline of Andy Yiadom; Tyler Bindon; Amadou Mbengue and Clinton Mola have started the last three matches in which the Royals have won once and lost twice.
