Former Reading captain Liam Moore made his first start for nearly a year in Northampton Town's 1-1 draw with Cambridge United on Saturday.
The 31-year-old spent seven years with the Royals and made more than 230 appearances but struggled with injuries at the back end of his time in Berkshire, playing just three times last season.
Without a club until last month, the former Leicester City youngster joined the Cobblers on a deal until the end of the season and has made four appearances to date.
2017 Player of the Year for Reading, Moore started for Jon Brady's side on Saturday and lasted the entire 90 minutes, his first full match since a 2-0 win for Stoke City over Millwall in March 2022.
Taking to social media after his run-out, the defender said: "Another point on the board and a huge personal milestone yesterday. My first 90 minutes in over 700 DAYS and only my second start in that time which was March last year. It makes all the hard work and sacrifices worth it! Plenty of work to be done moving forward but a positive step."
Northampton Town visit the SCL Stadium on Good Friday, potentially a first return for the former skipper since his exit.
