After a tumultuous eight months under Chinese businessman Dai Yongge, a decision on the next potential buyer could be made within the next 24-48 hours, the Reading Chronicle understands.
Mr Dai's representatives have been in and out of meetings throughout the day (March 18) with multiple interested parties in the hope of whittling them down.

The Reading Chronicle understands that 'very positive' discussions took place and senior figures are hopeful that a decision can be made 'within the next 24-48 hours.'
Any deal is set to include the club, the Select Car Leasing Stadium and Bearwood Park.
This will come as positive news for fans and staff alike, with the club currently suffering a financial shortfall for outgoings due this month, which could lead to a fresh points deduction for Ruben Selles' squad.
