Former Brighton, Reading and Brentford defender, Paul Bence, has passed away aged 75.
Bence, of West Sussex, spent two seasons in Berkshire and scored twice in 14 appearances for the Biscuitmen from 1968 until 1970.
He had risen through the ranks with the Seagulls but made just one appearance before joining Roy Bentley's team.
We would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of former @ReadingFC defender Paul Bence, who has passed away aged 75.

After a couple of years in Reading, Bence found a home at Griffin Park and made over 250 appearances for the Bees in seven years with the club.
Bence won the club's Players' Player of the Year award in 1972/73, eventually departing to Torquay United in 1977.
Spending some time as player-manager at non-league Wokingham Town, Bence went on to work at Queens Park Rangers and spent two seasons managing Wycombe Wanderers.
Bence had a long and successful career in the brewing industry post-football and was inducted into the Brentford Hall of Fame in 2019.
