Former Reading favourite has been linked with a Championship return after being released by Sheffield United following Premier League relegation.
The Blades finished rock-bottom of the top flight with the most goals ever conceded, returning after one year back in the elite.
33-year-old Norwood joined Sheffield United in 2019 and won promotion to the Premier League twice at Bramall Lane, departing with more than 230 appearances.
This follows on from earning Premier League promotions with Fulham and Brighton in 2017 and 2018.
Midfielder Norwood played 92 times for Reading from 2014 until 2016, catching the eye with his range of passing possession retention ability.
According to Football Insider, the veteran could return to the second tier with Sunderland, Hull and Watford all keen on the Northern Ireland international.
