Former Reading midfielder Ovie Ejaria has been linked with a move to Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday following a training period last season.
The 26-year-old, who played almost 150 times for the Royals and both impressed and frustrated in equal measure, mutually terminated his contract early in January due to injuries and club expenditure.
He had not appeared since November 2022, a period of over 12 months at the time of his departure, and cut a mysterious figure in Berkshire.
The skilful midfielder has a strong pedigree, having played for the likes of Liverpool, Rangers and Sunderland in the past.
Reportedly training with Plymouth Argyle last season, the Sheffield Star has reported that the former England youngster had a period with the Owls and a move to Hillsborough is being explored.
Danny Rohl inspired the Yorkshire giants to Championship survival after a poor start and the German recently signed a new deal to keep him in position until 2027.
