Reading midfielders Charlie Savage and Tivonge Rushesha have been called up for their countries over the close season, looking to build valuable experience at the top level.

21-year-old Savage scored five goals in 45 appearances for Reading last time out, his first campaign since signing a long-term deal last summer.

Impressing Rob Page, the impressive passer followed in his father Robbie's footsteps in making his full debut for Wales in October's 4-0 win over Gibraltar.

A regular in squads throughout the campaign, the youngster will be looking for his second full cap in June's fixtures with Gibraltar and Slovakia.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Rushesha- a former Wales Under-17s international- was first called up to Zimbabwe in November and awaits his Zimbabwe debut.

Only signing in the summer after rising through the ranks with Swansea City, Rushesha made 11 first-team appearances and is still yet to sign an extension which would see him walk away next month.

Lesotho and South Africa await in 2026 World Cup qualifiers over an international period in June.
