Departing Reading defender Nesta Guinness-Walker has wished the club and supporters well, admitting that his time in Berkshire did not end 'as hoped.'
The 24-year-old full-back arrived in 2022 and made 41 appearances for the club, however, none were made since January as the unfavoured defender joined Stevenage on loan.
Making 14 appearances for Boro in a temporary spell, Guinness-Walker's contract was up in Berkshire and not extended.
Releasing a goodbye message to supporters, the attacking defender said he was 'honoured' to play for the club and 'looks forward to seeing the fans get the club back to where it belongs.'
Experiencing relegation and a turbulent second season due to negligence from owner Dai Yongge, it has not been a happy time to be a Royal in the last two years.
Taking to Instagram, Guinness-Walker said: "I want to say thank you to everyone at Reading as my time at the club comes to an end.
"I’ve met some great people and although it didn’t end how I would’ve hoped I feel honoured to have put on the shirt.
"I wish everyone involved at the club the best and look forward to seeing the fans get the club back to where it belongs. "
