Former Reading defender Adrian Mariappa has moved to non-league outfit Wealdstone at 37 years old.
The Watford legend with almost 350 appearances for the Hornets spent the 2012/13 campaign as a Royal, making 33 appearances for the club during their last Premier League stint.
His only goal came in a defeat at Stoke City and his form attracted a move to Premier League Crystal Palace after relegation under Nigel Adkins.
A Jamaica international, the centre-back has enjoyed EFL stints with Bristol City, Burton Albion and Salford City in recent years.
Making over 30 appearances for the Ammies last season in League Two, the two-time FA Cup runner-up has moved to National League Wealdstone to continue his competitive action.
"Adrian has a fantastic pedigree and for us to secure his signature is a huge bonus for the football club," said Stones manager Matt Taylor on the club website. "He will be a big character within the squad and his leadership skills will be vital for the upcoming season."
