Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Reading midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah following his departure from West Bromwich Albion.
The 29-year-old former England international rose through the ranks with Chelsea, with his 20-match stint in Berkshire one of six loan spells made away from Stamford Bridge.
Scoring on his home debut, which was ironically against the Owls, the Royals finished 19th in the Championship.
Included in this stint with a start in the historic FA Cup semi-final at Wembley which Arsenal won 2-1 after extra-time.
A combative midfielder with vast experience in the English game, Chalobah racked up nearly 200 appearances for the likes of Watford, Fulham and West Brom in the last seven years.
Playing regularly for the Baggies last season, making 36 appearances as Carlos Corberan's side lost in the play-offs, it is quite the coup for the Owls.
Comfortably adrift at the foot of the table before Danny Rohl's appointment, Sheffield Wednesday ended the season 20th in the Championship and have made nine signings ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking to the club website, Chalobah said: "I'm super excited, ready for the challenge and I'm looking forward to meeting the fans and playing at such a historic stadium."
