Reading Under-21s' planned friendly with local non-league side Thatcham Town has been postponed 10 days ahead of the meeting.
Thatcham, of the Southern League Division One, were due to host a Royals Academy side on Wednesday, July 31.
However, the Kingfishers confirmed yesterday that this had now been cancelled, with no details on the reasoning given.
We regret to inform supporters that our pre season friendly on the 31st July against Reading FC has been cancelled

Our next away match is 20th July V Basingstoke Town FC and our next home match is 23rd July V Milton Utd
Last summer, a youthful Academy side beat the same opposition 1-0 at a rainy Waterside Park.
It proved disappointing for supporters, with a local away trip for pre-season always proving popular.
This fixture was planned for the same evening as a first-team side travels to Cardiff City for another friendly under Ruben Selles.
Plenty of youngsters are expected to be involved with the club still unable to make any moves in the transfer window.
The Royals face Millwall, Woking and QPR in the coming week, followed by the trip to South Wales and a final home fixture against Hull City before the campaign gets underway on August 10.
