Reading are just three weeks away from beginning their second successive League One campaign under Ruben Selles following last year's successful survival battle.
Despite all the fear and uncertainty off the field, supporters always have the prospect of away days to look forward.
From trips to the capital to a trip to Hollywood...I mean North Wales, fans will experience it all over the next nine months.
Follow along in this latest series as we look at the 23 away days on offer.
In part two, we focus on the eight games from November until February.
NOVEMBER
Stevenage- Lamex Stadium
Stevenage took to the third tier like a duck to water last year following their promotion, challenging for a play-off spot right up until the final month of the season.
Despite their overall good form, Ruben Selles and the Royals still managed to complete a league double over the Boro, without conceding too.

Last Meeting: Stevenage 0-1 Reading; February 6, 2024

Losing out to Oxford United in the play-offs, Darren Ferguson’s Posh will no doubt be up there again as they knock on the door of a Championship return.
The last trip to Peterborough was a thrilling 2-2 draw on Boxing Day, a real treat for those who made the journey.

DECEMBER
Wycombe Wanderers- Adams Park
A local meeting which could have some added intrigue come December with news of former Chairboys chief Rob Couhig’s attempt to buy the Royals, it is bound to sell-out and very quickly.
One key memory from last season will be the final whistle in Buckinghamshire as over 1,800 Royals celebrated a first away win for 378 days.

Reading suffered another late away defeat at Abbey Stadium last season, live on Sky Sports to add insult to injury, but payback was complete in the return fixture as Reading romped to a 4-0 victory.

Charlton Athletic- The Valley
The first of two London away days in 2024/25 for Reading, it was an unhappy return to the Valley last season as the Addicks ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.
The capital, despite its location and popular boozers, has proved a difficult place for Reading to win, suffering four defeats in their last five trips

After waiting four months for a London away day, both come around in the space of a fortnight as Leyton Orient rounds off the trips to the 'big smoke.'

Last season's final away match, complete with inflatables, it would take more than 3-2 defeat to the Brewers to deflate the party atmosphere in the East Midlands.
Having been taken over themselves in the close season, a renewed optimism is seeping out of the famous brewing town, which is more than can currently be said in Berkshire.
Drive time [at time of writing]: 2 hours, 54 minutes
