Reading lost their first pre-season friendly of the summer, going down 2-1 to Championship Millwall at Bearwood Park.
The Royals, looking to build on last season's 17th-place finish in League One, have been back in training for a month and are staying in the UK this summer.
Surprising many by beating Watford behind closed doors earlier in the month, it was the turn of the Lions to provide opposition this afternoon.

Held behind closed doors with little coverage apart from line-ups, the result was confirmed a short while ago from the training ground.
Academy graduate Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan found the net for Ruben Selles' side in the second half, while wholesale changes were made by both sides on the hour mark.
Romain Esse and Zian Flemming did the damage for Neil Harris' Lions, who now depart on a pre-season trip to Spain.
Now into the thick of the action, National League outfit Woking host Reading, and their supporters, on Tuesday before the first of two Championship home opponents the following Saturday- Queens Park Rangers followed by Hull City.
