Potential new Reading owner Rob Couhig has teased supporters with a cryptic message on social media on Friday evening.
The 75-year-old American has been leading a group toward a purchase for months, with a deal thought to be close.
He had previously spent five years owning near-neighbours Wycombe Wanderers, selling up only a matter of months ago.
It had been hoped that a deal would be formalised by now, however, it is still yet to be concluded despite the League One campaign getting underway in under three weeks.
Ahead of Saturday's pre-season friendly with Queens Park Rangers, Mr Couhig took to social media to confirm that he had purchased a video pass to watch the match- starting the message with 'it's sorted.'
Well, that’s sorted. Royals tv package purchased. Should be quality preparation for the season. Anxious to see the boys in action. pic.twitter.com/ZhSdfCiU3c

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Mr Couhig said: "Well, that’s sorted. Royals tv package purchased. Should be quality preparation for the season. Anxious to see the boys in action."
Sending supporters into overdrive, hopefully, it marks the beginning of the end of the seven-year Dai Yongge era.
