Reading youngster Tyler Sackey bagged himself a hattrick as Noel Hunt's Under-21s made it a doubly successful Saturday for the club in pre-season.
While Ruben Selles and a first-team squad beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, Hunt's youngsters cruised past local non-league outfit Didcot Town 7-0.
Taking place in front of supporters at the Loop Meadow Stadium, the Young Royals put their hosts to the sword and were leading by three at the break.
Come the full-time whistle, seven goals had been slammed home with goals coming from two trialists, one from Basil Tuma, one from Carter Bowdery and a hattrick from Sackey.
Didcot Town struggled in the heat as they lost 0-7 to a @ReadingFC Under-21’s XI at the Loop Meadow.

Plenty of regular youth players were gaining valuable minutes in Berkshire with the first-team, with teenagers Emmanuel Osho and Abraham Kanu walking away with plenty of plaudits.
This follows on from a hugely successful campaign for the Academy last time out, winning the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup and reaching the semi-final of the PL2 play-offs.
Finishing in the top six of PL2 last season, it should see a return to the Premier League International Cup for Hunt's Under-21s.
