Cardiff City forward Yakou Meite has wished Reading and supporters 'good luck' after the former Royal received a standing ovation in Wednesday's friendly defeat.
Callum Robinson netted in each half for the Bluebirds, with Femi Azeez scoring in the first half during a hard-fought 2-1 defeat in South Wales.
Meite, who came off the bench for the final 30 minutes, received a standing ovation from the 200 travelling supporters for his work as a Royal.
Joining in 2016 as a youngster from PSG, the Ivorian played over 160 times for the club in seven years and was a firm fan favourite for his endless energy and knack for scoring important goals.

Scoring double-figure goals in three successive seasons, the 28-year-old moved to Cardiff in 2023 after Reading were relegated.
He scored twice in 38 appearances during his debut season with Cardiff.

Coming up against his former side for the first time, there were plenty of pleasantries with former teammates and staff after the final whistle, before the forward walked over to applaud the travelling supporters.
Taking to social media after the match, Meite said: "Good luck for the start of the season, Royals."
Fellow former Royals teammate, Andy Rinomhota, started for Cardiff as he continues to try and force his way into first-team selection under Erol Bulut.
