Reading manager Ruben Selles is expecting tomorrow's clash with Hull City to be 'completely different' to the previous pre-season fixtures.
The Tigers, under the management of German Tim Walter following the sacking of Liam Rosenior, finished seventh in the Championship last year and have expectations of challenging for the top six again this term.
Big spenders under Turkish owner Acun Ilicali, Hull have lost the likes of Jacob Greaves, Jaden Philogene and Ozan Tufan so far this summer but have strengthened in full-back positions with the arrivals of Ryan Giles and Cody Drameh.
Having pitted themselves against sides like Newcastle United, Fenerbahce and Fiorentina in pre-season, they are likely to pose a stronger threat than the likes of Woking, Queens Park Rangers and Watford from earlier in the friendly schedule.
The final warm-up match before League One returns on August 10, Selles is expecting an 'interesting' match-up.
"It will be a completely different game," Selles told the Reading Chronicle. "Hull changed their manager, which we have been watching a little bit, and it’s going to be different to any other circumstance. We need to adjust a couple of things, but it will be very interesting for us."
