Two Reading youngsters have secured moves after departing the club in May- including a top-flight move for England Under-19s international Eve Annets.

Teenager Annets, who caught the eye for Reading Women in the Championship last term, has secured a move to giants Manchester City following the sad demise of the women's team over the summer.

Despite making on three appearances for the Royals, the 18-year-old earned England youth call-ups and has now signed a four-year deal in the North-West.

Annets told ManCity.com: “[It feels] amazing. I mean a club like this, to hear they’re interested in you is just a feeling that can’t be matched. And just the aspirations I’ve got, coming to a club like this is just incredible. “City is a great club and it’s probably one of the best in the world to be at for a youngster who wants to grow. There’s nothing better.

“My family are from Manchester. My parents both born and raised here, so I’m keen to grow and learn in the city.”

Meanwhile, for the men's team, young Harvey Collins has sealed a switch to National League Maidenhead United after his release from Reading.

The 21-year-old, who fought off sepsis to continue his football career, made a first-team squad appearance twice last year but joins the Magpies without making a debut for his boyhood club.

Alan Devonshire's side have been in the headlines this summer after banking a sizeable sell-on fee for West Ham defender Max Kilman after his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
